Things to Know from Everest Base Camp Trek
The trek to Everest Base Camp is one of the most famous and spectacular treks in Nepal and the entire world. Despite its altitude of 5,364 metres, it is a feasible challenge regardless of your physical condition or age.
It includes the ascent to Kala Patthar (5,630 m), from where you can enjoy the best views of Everest. The view to the east from its summit is exactly the same as that of the most classic postcards in any bookshop in Kathmandu. But seeing it with your own eyes is much better than on paper.
We will discover that the famous land of the Sherpas is a paradise for mountain lovers, as it is home to four of the world's 14 eight-thousanders: Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar and Cho Oyu, as well as numerous 7,000-metre peaks. This trek also offers a spectacular route to the heart of the Khumbu Valley and passes numerous gompas and chortens along the way.
