Things to Know from Georgia Ski Touring Mestia-Svaneti
A week-long ski touring adventure in the heart of the Greater Caucasus, surrounded by Georgia’s wildest peaks such as Ushba and Shkhara. An authentic journey, ideal for experienced skiers seeking new lines, fresh powder, and genuine local culture.
You will be accompanied by an IFMGA/GMGA certified English-speaking guide with deep knowledge of the terrain and soul of Svaneti. We will stay in traditional guesthouses in Mestia and Ushguli, two UNESCO World Heritage gems, where Georgian hospitality, homemade cuisine, and medieval towers will transport you back in time.
From the very first day, we combine lifts and off-piste skiing, then venture each day into spectacular ski touring routes — from the summit of Mt. Laila to the Chalaadi Glacier, with constant views of the Caucasus giants. We’ll travel in a private vehicle, with full logistics included from arrival until our return to Kutaisi.
It is a complete experience, combining quality skiing, cultural immersion, and discovery of one of the most remote and authentic regions in Europe. You can join a scheduled departure or form your own private group with friends. If interested, we will send you a form to ensure this adventure fits you and your level.
