Ski Greenland West Coast

This ski-touring trip in Greenland is designed for outdoor lovers seeking an authentic, exclusive polar experience. Aboard the Southern Star—a fully equipped sailboat with double cabins, a dining area, and warm, functional common spaces—we will sail through the spectacular fjords of Greenland’s west coast, reaching places inaccessible by land. Our floating base will allow us each day to set off on a new ski adventure across the pristine mountains of Eternity Fjord, one of the most impressive settings in the Arctic.

With Jordi Tosas as our UIAGM mountain guide, we will embark on a voyage that combines sailing, exploration, high-quality skiing, and close-knit group camaraderie. Each morning we will disembark from the Southern Star by RIB to begin the ascent with seal-skin climbing skins on our skis. Routes are chosen according to snow conditions and the weather, ensuring safety and excellent descents. In the afternoon, after an Arctic picnic, we will return to the boat where appetizers, dinners made with local ingredients, and talks beside the frozen sea await us.

Skiing in Greenland means stepping into a landscape where mountains rise straight out of the sea. Here you can strap on your skis on the sand, climb gentle slopes or technical channels, and descend to another beach where the Southern Star will be waiting for us. The variety of terrain lets us adjust the technical difficulty for each group, and thanks to the crew’s local knowledge and Jordi Tosas’s leadership, every day becomes a personalised adventure.

Eternity Fjord, with its towering cliffs, active glaciers, and shifting light, is one of the Arctic’s best-kept secrets. There’s no mobile signal and no distractions — just silence, untouched snow, and full immersion in polar nature. It’s an experience that goes far beyond skiing, perfect for those seeking a deep connection with the environment and their travel companions.
